News: Chambers joined up thinking on training
Sheffield and Barnsley & Rotherham Chambers of Commerce have joined forces to streamline and simplify workforce development for South Yorkshire businesses.
The two Chamber organisations have announced a new collaborative partnership with the publication of a new training brochure for Spring/Summer 2009.
The new "Chamber of Commerce Training Courses" identity will amalgamate and replace the former Rotherham "Chamber Skills Solutions" arm as well as Sheffield's previous "Chamber Training Services" brand.
The new brochure includes courses ranging from personal development and leadership and management to internet marketing and international trade, as well as sector-specific courses such as food and retail, construction, engineering and manufacturing, finance and accounting and environmental.
Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber director Mike Smith said: "We are delighted to be working with our colleagues in Sheffield to simplify and improve training services to companies and individuals across the region. Investment in training is crucial and this partnership makes it easier and simpler for people to choose and book the training they need."
