Their plant, complete with fuel management software, will allow PFUK to blend up to 200 million litres per year at a rate of 2000 litres per minute.

Eddie O'Reilly, managing director at PFUK said: "We identified at an early stage that if we were to strengthen our position within the market place we needed to adopt a different approach to our sales and supply strategy.

"We can now confidently say that by using EN14214 standard biodiesel, blended correctly under high velocity, companies can become greener, reduce carbon emissions and key to all businesses save considerable sums of money in some cases up to 8p per litre off their current spend."
