News: Shake Multimedia is Rotherham's best new business

Shake Multimedia has been named as a finalist this year's Rotherham Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award after winning the best new business category.

At just 21, Nick Jones of Shake Multimedia has gone from freelance cameraman to running his own video production company in less than two years.

Working from the Fusion @ Magna business centre in Templeborough, Nick has just finished promotional videos for former professional footballer Bruce Dyer and ex boxing champion Nigel Benn.

And although Shake Multimedia was launched in January, Nick already has big plans.

"Ideally I'd like to start doing TV commercials, it might be a bit tough being based in Rotherham and not London, but we're going to give it a go.

"Being awarded this and shortlisted for Young Entrepreneur of the Year means the world to me, because after such a short space of time to be recognised by the people in your community is such a massive confidence boost."

The overall winner of the Rotherham Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, sponsored by UK Steel Enterprise, will be announced at the Rotherham Chamber Awards dinner on October 23.
