News: RLNYH supports the business of language

By

The Regional Language Network Yorkshire & Humber (RLNYH) has arranged an exciting range of events aimed at supporting Rotherham businesses looking to trade across the world.

Highlighting the fact that businesses that are proactive in their use of foreign languages achieve on average 45% more export sales, the RLNYH aims to assist in the building of new global markets through language learning, cultural skills, international communication and funding advice for businesses.

The RLNYH does this by offering support to businesses in order to improve their international communications including translations, interpreting, language training, cultural differences, and web localisation.

The half day events will cover topics such as international branding, selling and marketing to Europe, international e-marketing, doing business with Russia and an introduction to business Chinese.

Following a recent seminar for Business Link, Ruth Linden from RLNYH said: "We've purposely designed the seminars to be highly interactive. This not only allows delegates to explore and discuss their planning but it is also an excellent way for everyone to meet with each other and make useful business contacts.

"It has been great to see businesses swapping business cards and discussing ideas for collaboration at the end of each seminar."

RLNYH also offers subsidised training through the Train to Gain Enhancement Fund.
