News: Martek director signs for Hull KR
The entrepreneur behind one of Rotherham's most successful businesses has taken on the role of associate director at Hull Kingston Rovers rugby league club.
Paul Luen is managing director of Martek Marine, the world leader in safety and environmental monitoring equipment for commercial ships, and a lifelong Hull KR fan.
Even with all his business success, Paul has remained true to his roots and is a staunch supporter of Rovers after his dad took him to watch his first game when he was just 4 years old, whilst he put back the first day of his honeymoon with wife Nikki to attend a game.
Paul said: "It was a great honour to be offered a position on the board of directors and I'm looking forward to contributing to our continued progression."
"I'm going to be looking primarily at the commercial avenues open to the club and how we can build on the already strong links we have forged with local and national sponsors."
Rovers Chairman Neil Hudgell said: "We're delighted that Paul has agreed to join the board."
"He is a very successful businessman and will provide us with the extra support and skills which can be vital to the continued prosperity at Craven Park."
