News: Behind the scenes steel tours at Magna
Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham is offering visitors the chance to join a behind the scenes steel tour and delve further into the history of the building than usually open to general visitors.
The tour is a chance for visitors to get into the heart of the former Templeborough steelworks and discover what life was like for the many men and women who worked within the demanding steel industry.
The tour will be led by a Magna team member whose fascinating experiences of work within this industry will be brought to life.
The Big Melt will accompany the steel tour to really bring the atmosphere of the steelworks to life. This is a chance to delve further into the history of the building than usually open to general visitors.
The event is part of Galvanize, a celebration of contemporary metal design which gives an insight into the area's vibrant metalwork creative industry.
