News: Rotherham repair specialists rewarded for customer service
Rotherham-based repair experts Domestic Appliance Repairs (DAR) are celebrating after coming first in the whole of the UK in one of the largest independent surveys on customer service.
The company have improved on their position of runner-up last year to gain the top spot at the 2009 Total Excellence & Quality (TEQ) Awards.
Established by husband and wife team Kevin and Bridie Heath, DAR employ three expert field engineers and a small administration team from premises in Rawmarsh.
The TEQ Awards, administered by appliance plan specialists Domestic & General, are now in their 12th year. This year the Awards are bigger than ever, based on the results from over 420,000 questionnaires distributed to customers post-repair, with a significant response rate of over 40%. DAR has featured at the Awards every year since 2001, an indication of their dedication to providing outstanding customer service.
The company is committed to its staff ensuring engineers are involved in ongoing training to ensure repair work is completed to the standard expected from the firm.
Commenting on the win proprietor Bridie Heath said: "Over the past year we have endeavoured to maintain our high standards during what has been a difficult trading climate. We are pleased our endeavours have paid off."
