News: Inditherm appoint medical distributor in Canada

By

Rotherham-based Inditherm has signed an agreement with Benson Medical Industries Inc for the distribution of Inditherm's medical products in Canada.

Inditherm's energy efficient polymer technology is used in heating mattresses, pipework, sports pitches, storage vessels and medical treatments.

Inditherm systems can warm patients during surgery at the same running cost as a light-bulb.

Founded in 1974 and based just outside Toronto, with five further regional offices, Benson Medical is well placed to market Inditherm's products on a national basis throughout Canada.

Inditherm feel that Benson Medical is an ideal partner due to their well-established presence in the key target market areas. They are a leading supplier of anaesthesia and critical care products in the hospital, dental, and veterinary markets nationwide.

Benson Medical CEO, Randee Benson, said: "Benson Medical Industries has had extensive experience in the sale of a variety of patient warming systems, over many years.

"We regard the Inditherm Medical patient warming system as an ideal solution for hospitals in Canada that will allow clinicians to maintain intraoperative normothermia for their patients more effectively and at much lower cost than using traditional technology."

Inditherm Chief Executive, Nick Bettles, added: "We are very pleased to have secured an agreement with such a well-established, experienced and respected distributor.

"Benson Medical have a large team who already know our target customers well and understand fully the clinical advantages of our products and the cost benefits we can offer. I am sure they will be successful in establishing Inditherm's medical ranges and growing our business in the Canadian market."
