News: Rotherham United on board to support enterprise project

By

Budding entrepreneurs jumped on board a special bus to get business advice in Rotherham in the run up to Christmas.

The bus, manned by the Rotherham Enterprise team, stopped in Rotherham town centre and in Wath on Dearne and was visited by Ryan Taylor and Jamie Green from Rotherham United who popped by to support the project.

Rotherham Enterprise is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and employs teams of business coaches and business support officers to work closely with communities and with individuals who want to start or already run their own business.

Geoff Link, from Rotherham Enterprise said: "The Business Link bus gave us a great opportunity to bring our business advisors out into the town and the local area.

"There are many opportunities for people to become self employed and in the current economic climate it is extremely important for people to know that free and confidential help is available."

Rotherham Enterprise helps people to look for business opportunities, help them grow in confidence, and then develop the necessary business skills needed to start and run a business.
