News: Rotherham industrial estate up for sale
Aven Industrial Estate in Maltby, Rotherham, is up for sale following the owners entering administration.
Joint administrators, Rob Caven and Martin Ellis of Grant Thornton UK LLP, have confirmed the appointment of Savills as agent for sale of 32 of Kenmore's UK properties.
Close to Maltby Colliery, Aven Industrial Estate comprises approximately 273,682 sq ft (25,426sq m) of industrial accommodation situated within a total site area of approximately 26 acres (10.50 hectares).
Aven Enterprise Park provides three different sized office units, ranging from 624 sq ft to 2,228 sq ft. The majority of the remainder of the site comprises a variety of 1960's to 1980's detached, semi detached and terraced industrial units.
Current occupiers range from steelmaker, Corus and IT company, Cynetix to bathroom fittings supplier, Peak 2000.
Rob Caven, Joint Administrator said: "There has been, and continues to be, considerable market interest in the Kenmore properties. The numerous enquiries we have received range from those expressing interest in the whole portfolio to those expressing interest in individual properties.
"In exploring all options to recover sums for creditors, we intend to market test such demand."
