News: Rotherham manufacturing event
Award-winning Rotherham firm, AESSEAL is the venue for a manufacturing event for the region next month.
Hosted by South Yorkshire Manufacturing Forum and Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, the free event will include a welcome from AESSEAL director and former Master Cutler Gordon Bridge, before delegates are addressed by Richard Wright, Chair of the Yorkshire & Humber Manufacturing Task Force, on the Regional Manufacturing Strategy.
The strategy outlines what actions need be taken to help Yorkshire and Humber's manufacturing sector grow and become recognised internationally.
It identifies the actions and the support needed to grow manufacturing by over 50%, so it represents 20% of the regional economy by 2030, compared to the 13% it represents now.
Current Master Cutler James Newman will then speak about funding growth in manufacturing, in his role as Chair of Finance Yorkshire, the £90m regional venture and capital loan fund.
AESSEAL Chairman Chris Rea will be present to discuss export-led growth at his company. Established in 1981, they specialise in the design and manufacture of mechanical seals, bearing protectors and environmental control systems for process equipment, maximising reliability and protecting the environment from leakage. They now sell to 93 countries worldwide with subsidiaries in 33 countries.
The morning will conclude with an optional tour of AESSEAL.
The event takes place at AESSEAL's global headquarters in Templeborough on June 15 at 7:30am.
