News: Cutting & Wear continues to grow

Rotherham-based Cutting & Wear have appointed Siân Jones to the new post of sales and marketing assistant.

Siân, who is originally from North Wales, moved to Sheffield in 2005 to start her four-year business and marketing degree at Sheffield Hallam University. During her time at Sheffield Hallam she spent a semester at the University of Amsterdam, part of an exchange programme, and 12 months at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Sheffield for her work placement.

Based at Greasbrough Road, the company manufactures and supplies downhole tool products and services to oil service companies across the world.

In her new role Siân will be responsible for marketing communications including assisting with the launch of new products and developing a new website, as well as liaising with external agencies. Siân will also provide support for the sales team by acting as an internal contact when they are away from the office visiting oil service companies around the world.

The appointment is in response to a growing order book, which also prompted the company to appoint David Wilson as the company's quality and technical resource engineer, earlier in the year.
