News: Eatalian opens in Rotherham town centre

Owner Davide Premi previously had the renowned Portofino Italian restaurant on London Road in Sheffield which was extremely popular amongst local residents.
Davide said: "I want to see Rotherham do well and I can see the amount of work that’s being done in the area to transform it – including the High Street itself. It feels like the area is on the up and I want to be a part of that."
Originally from Rome, Davide has been in the restaurant trade for the past 18 years. His expertise and warm personality coupled with an authentic Italian chef makes the perfect place to come and eat.
The council's Business & Retail Investment Manager, Tim O'Connell, said: "The High Street has seen a dramatic transformation over the past few months with the Townscape Heritage Initiative really coming into its own.
"The completion of the former Supercigs unit and the ongoing works to the Hamby's, Little Coffee Shop and Zax properties demonstrates this. With the artwork now on the properties on the other side of the street we're really starting to improve the look of this important part of town.
"With new restaurants such as Eatalian opening up it further proves that this street is once again an area to be invested in. I wish Davide every success in Rotherham town centre and hope that Rotherham residents enjoy his great food as much as people in Sheffield did."
Eatalian has also joined the Shop Local initiative and is offering tables of four a free bottle of house wine on production of a Shop Local loyalty card.
