News: Beyond Hotels acquires Elton Hotel in Rotherham

Newly established Sheffield firm, Beyond Hotels Ltd, has acquired the Elton Hotel in Bramley, Rotherham.

Claire Gurney, the managing director of Beyond Hotels Limited explained that the company has significant plans for the Elton Hotel. "It is undergoing a major refurbishment in readiness for Christmas 2010 in order that we can establish it as one of the leading boutique hotels in the region."

Legal advice was provided to Beyond Hotels by lawyers from Taylor & Emmet's corporate, commercial property and employment teams. The deal was funded by the Royal Bank of Scotland plc.

Claire added: "From our perspective it was crucial that the transaction completed on time. Both Taylor & Emmet and RBS were key to achieving that, and dealt admirably with a number of challenges which had to be overcome."

Although, independently owned and operated, the hotel has been branded as the Best Western Elton Hotel. It has 29 en-suite rooms as well as a restaurant, bar and corporate and wedding facilities.
