News: Horbury Group completes on landmark Sheffield development

By

Rotherham based Horbury Group has concluded almost £3.5m of work on Sheffield's most prestigious residential development - the City Lofts development in St Paul's Place.

Horbury Building Systems (HBS) and MWS Joinery, two of Horbury Group's eleven companies, completed detailed internal fit-out work on the two high rise residential towers standing at 32 and 12 stories respectively.

Designed by Conran & Partners and measuring over 100m high, the complex is Sheffield's tallest building and has survived turbulent times, including the administration of its parent company.

David Priestley, sales and marketing director for the Horbury Group, said: "The high specification fit-out work by two of the Horbury Group companies at City Lofts completes a major element of the overall project.

"City Lofts has certainly been through immensely testing times but to see new residential developments of this calibre reaching completion under current economic conditions is extremely encouraging."

HBS has completed steel frame systems, partitions, drylining and suspended ceilings in a deal worth £2.5m from Shepherd Construction.

And MWS Joinery also completed a separate £1m deal to provide doors, frames, skirting boards, window boards, ironmongery, stair strings and walnut steps in the penthouses.
