News: Pyronix grows with apprentices
Pyronix has grown from being a single detector manufacturer to one of the world's leading providers of quality security equipment. It has developed an extensive product portfolio, utilising the latest developments and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes.
Jackie Scott, personnel manager for the Hellaby site approached the College via the National Apprenticeship Service and was able to recruit Business Administration Apprentice, Sarah Lewis.
Sarah provided support for administrative and personnel functions for the business and Ms Scott is delighted that her progress has had a positive impact on company productivity.
Jackie said: "Sarah fully embraced the role and grew in confidence throughout her Apprenticeship to become an essential part of the Pyronix team. Sarah's drive and enthusiasm was something we particularly wanted to harness at Pyronix and we were keen to support her progression within the company."
Upon completion of a successful apprenticeship programme, Sarah was later promoted into the company's expanding internal sales team.
Having experienced the benefits of working with apprentices like Sarah, Ms Scott approached the College once again via the National Apprenticeship Service for further support with the company's recruitment and training requirements.
Jackie added: "We are delighted to have recruited Megan Davies as our new Business Administration Apprentice and we are looking forward to supporting her through her future development with Pyronix."
