News: Cash Generator opens in Rotherham town centre

National value for money high street retailer, Cash Generator, has opened a new outlet in Rotherham town centre.

Established in 1994, Cash Generator is the UK's leading buy, sell and loan store offering a top quality selection of pre-owned and brand new items for sale as well as instant cash for goods and a range of highly competitive financial services including Foreign Exchange Currency.

It operates a franchise model and the Rotherham store is run by husband and wife team, Harvey and Tracey Drew, who have launched of their third store in Rotherham, complementing two stores already in operation in Armley and Castleford.

The store is located on Frederick Street.

Regarded as the eBay of the high street, the retailer continues to buck the market trend with ten new stores scheduled to open by the end of the year bringing the company's total number of stores to 137.

For the period 1 February 2009 to 31 January 2010, Cash Generator reported a like for like increase in gross profits of 9.5% with total group retail sales rising by 34.7% to £73.6m.
