News: Assured future growth in Rotherham

By

Assured Fire and Security has launched a five-year plan that aims to transform the expanding Rotherham company into the country's leading fire and security specialist and create more jobs at their Dinnington headquarters.

Managing Director Simon Stokes recently hosted a "Company Culture and Vision Day" for all staff during which he unveiled ambitious plans for the next stage of the company's growth.

He said: "My aim is to have a company worth £15m within the next half decade.

"At the moment we have a team of just 45. However, to reach our company target we will have to expand to a workforce of around 200.

"And in creating those extra jobs we will not only be strengthening the company but also helping the local economy which, as a Rotherham and South Yorkshire man, is extremely important to me."

He added that the key to successful growth would mean the acquisition of companies in such important areas for development as London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Newcastle.

Despite ongoing concerns about the current economic climate, Simon insisted that now was the ideal time for confidence, investment and growth.

"I believe that in any crisis there is always an opportunity," he said. "If we take this opportunity to expand where others are not, I fully believe we will achieve success."

The company has recently been awarded a contract for the new Leeds warehouse of removal company Pickfords after previously installing a full safety, fire and security system at their warehouse in Newcastle.

Other customers include The Royal Navy, Her Majesty's Court Service, The Quality Care Commission, Nissan, Kier, Games Workshop, River Island, Toolstation, Mencap, Pickfords, Travis Perkins, Warner Bros, Honda and Rolls-Royce.
