News: JF Finnegan secures tenants at Beighton Link

By

JF Finnegan's flagship Beighton Link Business Park in Rotherham is defying current market conditions having secured four new tenants in the last six months.

The latest Phase 1 tenant is South African BBQ manufacturer, Cadac, who has signed a lease for the 16,200sq ft unit in Block B.

Techtrain, Ideal Envelopes and Viaturn are in occupation within the 18,800sq ft Unit C and following the latest deals, just one 3,400sq ft unit remains available within Unit C along with the 20,000sq ft Unit A.

Beighton Link received major acclaim last year when JF Finnegan secured one of the region's largest pre-let deals to Swedish global industrial group Sandvik, who introduced a new 112,500sq ft state-of-the-art Sandvik European Centre of Excellence (SECoE) at the site. Earlier this year JF Finnegan sold the centre to Cordea Savills UK Income and Growth Fund for an undisclosed sum.

Future plans for the remaining three acres at Beighton Link include potential retail and leisure development for which planning consent has been granted.

Philip Hollister, Chairman of JF Finnegan, said: "The development of Sandvik's SECoE was an early vote of confidence for Beighton Link and this exciting scheme's ability to attract tenants has been further evidenced in the recent string of lettings.

"We are currently in negotiations with a number of parties who are interested in the remaining space within Phase 1 and we look forward to welcoming new occupiers in due course."

Crossland Otter Hunt is joint agent on Beighton Link Business Park with CB Richard Ellis. Partner at the Sheffield office of Crossland Otter Hunt, David Crossland, said: "The strategic positioning of Beighton Link, close to all the major motorway networks, has proven to be a key factor in the success of the scheme in attracting new occupiers.

"JF Finnegan has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality product in pivotal locations and Phase 1, incorporating the flagship Sandvik facility, demonstrates their capabilities superbly.

"The future development opportunities for the next phase of the scheme are attracting a lot of interest and it is encouraging to see that even in a tough market, well developed business parks can continue to flourish."
