News: Rotherham company launch innovative product that saves homes £100 a year on electricity bills
Available nationwide, the innovative system, which is based on proven technology currently used by many commercial electricity users, allows households to reduce their carbon footprint by an average of 330 – 500 lbs per year, save between £90 and £150 annually on electricity bills and prevent wear and tear, normally caused by electrical over supply and power surges, on household appliances.
VO4HOME is designed to maximise the delivery of energy into the home to 220V/230V. Currently the voltage supplied to homes by UK energy companies averages 242V, while electrical equipment in the home is designed to operate on 220V/230V.
An innovative energy saving device VO4HOME, which relies on magnetic interaction, has no moving parts and requires no maintenance. In addition, it delivers low impedance, high efficiency and comes with a 5 year warranty.
There are an estimated 27 million households in Britain, with most having the carbon footprint the size of a cow. If each household were to be installed with a VO4HOME system, the UK as a whole would save between £2.7 billion and £4 billion each year on energy costs and reduce its carbon emissions by 9 - 13.5 billion lbs per year.
Dr. Alex Mardapittas, developer of the innovative VO4HOME solution, said: "We have developed a product that will have a huge impact not only on the amount of carbon that is emitted by households across the UK, but across the world.
"With a VO4HOME installed households will soon be able to make significant, tangible savings on their annual electricity bill, whilst at the same time doing their bit for the environment."
