News: Pinnula expands with apprentice

By

Rotherham IT solutions and software house Pinnula, has recently employed Katie Wood through the Apprenticeship scheme as they expand and enhance their support desk function.

Based at Templeborough, Pinnula provides complete IT business solutions, enabling businesses to function effectively. They are the authors and developers of Uniplan, a sophisticated yet easy to use modular ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.

A campaign – Remember, Remember the 1st of November - was launched to introduce the dedicated support desk telephone number to Pinnula's existing client base going live on November 1 2010.

As well as working towards a recognised qualification, Katie has been learning about the Uniplan system in order to be able to answer first line support queries whilst also being able to understand and take more complex queries.

Katie has already become a valued member of the team and Christine Lant, Operations Director at Pinnula said: "Supporting and working with young people is very important to Pinnula especially in the current economic climate. Katie's help and support to our business is invaluable, not only is she gaining a recognised qualification, City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence, but the up to date knowledge that she will gain through her studying can only help improve our knowledge in house."
