News: Planet X continues to expand with the acquisition of Titus

On One, the mountain bike division of Planet X Ltd in Rotherham, has acquired the brand, trade marks and assets of American company, Titus Bikes Inc.

Planet X manufactures and sells time trial, road, track and fixed wheel bikes along with mountain bikes under the On One brand.

Following the acquisition, On One intend to build on the already strong Titus range by leveraging their experience in carbon and titanium bike development. In addition, the Titus brand and loyal customers will provide a boost to On One's planned expansion into the US in 2011.

Established by keen triathlete, Dave Loughran in the 1990s to produce dirt, jump and trials bikes, Planet X relocated to new premises at the Ignite development in Templeborough in 2009 and have already acquired more warehouse space.

The company sepcialise in internet sales and making bikes to order but the Rotherham base also includes a showroom and sales area

Carrying more stock has enabled them to start branching out into new territory, including Denmark, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and as far a field as South Africa.
