By

Following its recent acquisition of Midlands based Hartshorne Motor Services, Crossroads Truck and Bus has restructured its senior team and Paddy Limb, formerly Divisional Director will now be assuming the role of Managing Director.

The former MD of Crossroads Truck and Bus, Martin Cronin will be stepping up as Group Chairman and Managing Director of Hartshorne to ensure the smooth integration of Hartshorne and its ten depots as part of the newly expanded group.

The merger which took place in August this year saw Crossroads and Hartshorne become the largest commercial distributor group in Europe with a combined annual turnover of £200 million and over 1,000 staff - enabling the group to look after Volvo customers across the Midlands, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

The joining of the two companies allows the group to provide even greater customer service and build for the long term future of both businesses.

Earlier this year, the Rotherham site at Canklow added Nissan commercial vehicles to their Volvo offering.

New MD, Paddy Limb said: "The acquisition went very well and has brought together two very trusted business which combined, creates a fantastic offering. I am delighted to be stepping up as Managing Director of Crossroads to ensure that the business has strategic direction and can continue to grow and prosper.

"I have been with the company for ten years and so I know both the team and the business well. This is an exciting time for Crossroads and I am thrilled to be a part of it."
