News: Dearne Valley location helps boost business at Dragonfly PR

Rotherham-based Dragonfly PR has seen strong growth over the past couple of years, despite the tougher economic climate.

Based at RiDO's Century Business Centre in Manvers, the business has added a number of good quality, blue chip clients in the past 12 months , including Marshalls, the UKs leading hard landscaping manufacturer, S3-ID, a Rotherham company producing state of the art safety systems, and Rensburg Sheppards, part of the global investment group, Investec.

Marina Wood, Director of Dragonfly PR, said: "Companies might have initially thought that cutting back on their PR and marketing made sense, but many soon realised that in a tough market, you have to invest more to grow your market share.

"We don't just work locally, but nationally and internationally as well, with client companies in many of the major cities, including Manchester, Leeds, London and Birmingham."

Century Business Centre celebrated its tenth anniversary late last year. Office space ranges from around 130 sq ft to 500 sq ft and workshop space from around 300 sq ft to 500 sq ft.

Ms Wood added: "Our business has gone from strength to strength since we've been based here at Century. Clients like to visit because of the easy access from the M1 and other nearby motorway networks – it's much easier for them than trying to find parking spaces in the town or city centres, and it's a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the centre itself.

"One of the considerations when we moved here is that the centre had to have the right image, which is obviously important in the kind of work we do. We've moved a couple of times within the building, outgrowing offices and relocating to bigger units within the centre – there is a good mix of businesses here, whether it be manufacturing, distribution or professional services."
