News: ABS Group strengthens presence in China
Rotherham-based ABS Group is establishing a wholly foreign owned entity that will allow them to set up full analytical and processing facilities within China.
Based at Kilnhurst, ABS is a group of companies which began supplying primary and secondary alloys and metals, recycled packaging products, and distribution services.
The operations of the group have extended into other complimentary areas of industrial supply namely powder metallurgy, forging and casting ingot, and most recently into oil industry component and high density tungsten alloy manufacture, metal ore mining and precious metal supply.
Their full analytical and processing facilities utilise the very latest technologies to effectively analyse and process high integrity complex alloy metal components.
ABS Group first opened a representative office in Shanghai in 2009. Since this time they have undertaken market research studies and been able to develop their commercial relationships with suppliers and buyers within China. The group expect that the new entity will benefit the local Chinese metal markets and strengthen ABS Group's presence in Asia.
The group employ over 150 employees and has an annual turnover in excess of £100m, of which 70% is in the international markets.
