News: New base for Bedazzled Cupcakes
The company has taken a three year lease on a 1,200 sq ft unit at the Alexandra Centre in Parkgate, which it will use as its production facility for baking their delicious treats.
Bedazzled Cupcakes was founded in 2008 and produces a range of cupcakes in sponges including Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon, Cappucino, Cherry and Red Velvet for weddings and special occasions, birthdays or just as a lunchtime treat. Their cupcakes are bright and colourful, hence the name and Bedazzled Cupcakes has already gained a strong reputation locally for the quality and taste of its products.
Darren Powell, who runs Bedazzled Cupcakes with his partner and daughter, said: "Our business has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months. We have retail outlets in Doncaster, Wakefield and Huddersfield and using our home kitchen for baking meant we just didn't have enough space.
"We were desperately looking for new premises and saw the Burgess Commercial signboard for the units on the Alexandra Centre. We got in touch straightaway and found it was just what we wanted. The agent acted really quickly as they knew we were keen to move and we signed up within just a couple of weeks."
Neil Keally, director of Burgess Commercial, added: "It is always great to hear about a business that is growing and Bedazzled Cupcakes will find this is a great location for supporting their ongoing expansion. They will have good access here to main routes to get to their retail businesses in South and West Yorkshire and these modern facilities are just perfect for a catering company."
