News: NAMTEC supply chain events
The National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC) in Rotherham are hosting a number of events next month to help manufacturing and engineering companies find out about supplying the oil & gas sector and the rail industry.
Ambitions for Future Growth in the Rail Industry will inform delegates how to access business opportunities within the growing rail market both here in the UK and overseas.
It will appeal to organisations with a current presence in rail and to those considering entering this market. Amongst the speakers will be; The Railway Industry Association, Eversholt Rail Group, Network Rail, On Track, Mechan, Freightliner and the Railway Safety & Standards Board (RSSB).
Predictions are that over the next 30 years passenger demand for rail will more than double and freight demand increase by 140%. The total projected cost with the development of high-speed rail networks in the UK is an estimated £30bn and presents significant opportunities for UK manufacturing.
The event takes place on July 5 at The Stables, High Melton, Doncaster.
NAMTEC is also hosting a meet the buyer event to give businesses the opportunity to meet with buyers from leading oil & gas organisations and understand their future procurement requirements.
Graeme Urquhart, Supply Chain Manager from Wood Group will discuss their requirements and Craig Thompson from FPAL will discuss how they build and support buyer-supplier communities in the oil and gas industry, creating an effective Supply Chain network.
The event takes place on July 13 at Mid Yorkshire Golf Club, Darrington, West Yorks.
