News: Rotherham Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2011
The Rotherham Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards are back for 2011.
Organised by the Rotherham Enterprise Network (REN) and taking place for the sixth time, the awards recognise and reward young business acumen and also deliver a cash investment and publicity for the winners and runners-up.
From ice sculpture, fashion, dance or engineering to IT solutions and graphic design, the awards have highlighted the hidden skill base of some smart young individuals. And awards are excellent accolades for businesses – providing independent recognition and a boost to confidence and morale.
Winners from 2010 were Aardvark Display Lighting, Steel City Promotions, JADE and RipWire. F1showcars and Alexandra Buffet Co were named as runners-up.
Open to young entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 30 and running their own successful business, the awards are split into four categories - best new start up, best established business, businesses most determined to succeed and best business using IT/technology.
Sponsors and supporters include UK Steel Enterprise, The Source, Rotherlets, U-Explore, Rotherham Youth Enterprise, RiDO and Rotherham Council.
See the RiDO website for details and the closing date for entries is July 29.
