News: More contracts and staff at Assured Fire and Security

Rotherham-based Assured Fire and Security has secured further local contracts to provide full fire and safety services.

The Dinnington company has been awarded a £65,000 contract by Sheffield firm, Ask4 Business, to provide a full system, including CCTV, fire and intruder alarms, fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems at their new data centre.

Ask4, which was launched in Sheffield 11 years ago, is now the UK’s leading independent supplier of broadband Internet services to multiple tenanted residential developments.

Matt Spivey, operations director at Assured, said: "This is a very important contract for us because it not only strengthens our local client base, which is expanding all the time, but also adds another Datacentre to our portfolio.

"Our strong back ground in fire suppression systems and working in Datacentres gave us an advantage over our competitors adding the fact that we could also provide the complete fire safety and security solution gave us the final edge to win the business.

"It is further proof of our faith in the importance of local businesses supporting each other wherever possible."

Assured is also working on new projects with two leading High Street names, providing a full fire and safety service for the head offices of Yeomans Outdoor Leisure at Barlborough, near Chesterfield and installing fire alarms, extinguishers, CCTV, access control and a police response intruder alarm system for the new PerfectHome store in Rotherham town centre.

Simon Stokes, managing director at Assured, said: "Both these contracts are an important part of our plan to see the Assured name extend across the country.

"We are already looking after over 50 PerfectHome stores nationwide and have only recently completed work on new outlets in Hanley and Dewsbury.

"We are extremely pleased to be working with both PerfectHome and Yeomans, developing our brand in the retail sector."

The expanding company has recently appointed Steve Atkinson as service manager at their Rotherham HQ and Ivan Hydes as southern service engineer, working in central London.
