News: Stafforce acquire TEK Personnel

By

Rotherham's fast growing national specialist recruiter, Stafforce Recruitment, has acquired TEK Personnel Consultants, the Sheffield-based specialist provider.

Following a partial management buy out last year, this is the third acquisition by Stafforce Personnel in the past six months, which also includes Relay Recruitment in Bradford and Action 4 Business in Barnsley.

Ian Anderson, chief executive of Stafforce (pictured), said: "This is a very exciting time for our company.

"TEK Personnel is a great addition to our portfolio and there are many synergies between the two businesses. The company has specialisms in many industrial and commercial areas, which complement and enhance Stafforce's business and will enable us to further extend our services to the market. The company also has a strong track record in permanent recruitment, which will help to support our growth beyond our traditional temporary and industrial sectors.

"The acquisition will further enhance our presence in South Yorkshire and in the Midlands region."

Mike Childs, managing director of TEK Personnel, added: "This is great news for us and we welcome becoming part of the Stafforce Personnel business. Now with their backing and expertise, we will be looking to further develop opportunities within our core market sectors.

"We are very optimistic about the future and are confident that this will be a very positive move for both our staff and customers."

TEK Personnel was established in 1984 and currently employs 24 staff across its three offices – Sheffield, Derby and Wolverhampton. The company has a longstanding UK-wide client base predominantly in the manufacturing, engineering, technical, construction, sales & marketing and IT sectors.

Stafforce has been recruiting the right people for the right jobs for over 30 years. With headquarters on Percy Street in Rotherham town centre, the business continues to grow and today has over 25 sites across the UK. They supply more than 3,300 temporary staff a week and work with over 500 employers, including local businesses, Sheffield Forgemasters, Stelrad Ideal and Braiform.

Ian Anderson added: "We have made a number of very positive acquisitions over the past six months and we see this latest addition to the group as further strengthening our offer to customers.

"We are committed to achieving significant growth over the next couple of years and are confident that we have the right people with the skills and talents across our business to deliver this vision."
