News: Macalloy builds with Barclays

Rotherham construction experts, Macalloy has formed a new partnership with Barclays Corporate in its continuing strategic plans for growth and to increase international trade.

Based in Dinnington, Macalloy are world leaders in design, manufacture and supply of threaded bar and cable systems to engineering and construction projects across the globe.

They were awarded the Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2010 for international trade as the company's export earnings increased by 124% in the previous six years.

Peter Hoy, managing director at Macalloy, said: "Barclays Corporate has been very supportive of our requirements and plays an integral part in our plans for future growth.

"With the new banking facilities in place, we are now able to focus on further growth plans. The Online Global Trading Portal will be a massive boost for taking advantage of the opportunities the current climate presents with overseas customers and suppliers."

Macalloy systems support impressive projects including Dubai International Airport, the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai and close to home, Clifton Park in Rotherham.

They have also been used in Johannesburg's Soccer City Stadium, the centrepiece to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and the venue for the final.
