News: Identicom passes major milestone

By

Rotherham lone worker specialist Connexion2, developer and manufacturer of the award-winning Identicom system, is celebrating a major milestone after shipping its 100,000 Identicom device.

Established in 2003, The Dinnington company has gone from strength to strength, winning numerous awards and achieving a portfolio of Blue Chip companies and organisations in a wide range of market sectors including public and private healthcare, social housing, utilities, facilities management, retail and transport and logistics.

The Identicom system is designed to look like a normal ID badge but allows lone workers to raise an alarm, make an emergency phone call or send a text message.

Whilst predominantly used in the UK, Connexion2 has developed a number of key overseas partnerships around the world in countries including the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand as well as nearer to home in Germany, Spain and France. This has resulted in Connexion2 becoming a globally recognised leader in lone worker safety.

Craig Swallow, managing director at Connexion2, said: "We're delighted to be shipping our 100,000 Identicom device - it's a real achievement and a testament to how many lone workers rely on the device for greater peace of mind when working alone. The fact it allows discreet use and is styled in a neat identity badge form continues to make it the device of choice for companies, associations and employees."
