Staff from global company, SNA Europe, visited Rotherham recently to take part in specialist training organised by the Business Improvement Team at Rotherham College of Arts & Technology (RCAT).

SNA Europe have been designing and manufacturing tools for over 150 years and their Bahco brand offers high quality and ergonomically designed hand tools. Staff ventured to Rotherham from a number of countries including, Spain, France and Norway to complete their Level 3 Management training course provided through RCAT.

Based on-site at their UK office in Bramley, seven delegates took part in a five day training course covering different areas of management such as how to manage projects, planning for change and problem solving.

Lourdes Telletxea, a Spanish delegate from SNA Europe, said: "The expectations of this week's management course were exceeded. The subjects were relevant and easy to apply in our daily roles. The tutor was really inspiring in getting us to contribute and interact."

The college has also teamed up with SNA Europe to provide new opportunities for their construction and electrical students including information, incentives and discounts on Bahco products.

Gordon McCabe, deputy head of the construction department at RCAT, said: "This is a great opportunity for our department and our students have the chance to work with some quality tools."

Mark Haywood, managing director at SNA Europe, added: "We have a strong reputation for quality and innovation with the professional hand tool users and we are delighted to work with Rotherham College of Arts and Technology to show the future professional tradespeople our products."
