News: Rotherham logistics units sold

By

Two industrial units on the Barbot Hall Industrial Estate Rotherham have been sold with the help of the Capital Markets team at CBRE.

The two buildings comprising 38,000sq ft of quality industrial accommodation were recently let to Courier Logistics on a 10 year lease.

A private client has bough the units in a deal which represents a net initial yield of 12.5%.

Robin Bullas, associate director of Capital Markets at CBRE in Leeds, said: "The 10 year lease signed by Courier Logistics ensured that the new buyer had solid, long term investment in a recognised logistics hub close to the M1."

The move from nearby Templeborough is part of the year on year growth of Courier Logistics which was established in 1994 with two small ageing vans and now employs 100 staff and enjoys a £10m turnover. It will allow the network's local depot, APC Courier Logistics, to offer cutting edge virtual warehousing services for e-commerce companies.
