News: Stafforce secure contracts in the East

By

Rotherham's fast growing national specialist recruiter, Stafforce, has won two major accounts in East Anglia.

Stafforce first stepped into the region in July 2010 to handle increasing demand from longstanding client, Youngs Seafood and to start supplying staff for their Cromer Crab business.

This was serviced from a newly opened high street branch in Norwich, and the new recruitment team set out to gain momentum and positive profile among high calibre workers and leading employers in the region.

Last month, Stafforce started a three-year contract to supply Norwich City Council with a range of temporary clerical and administrative staff.

Securing this win to join Reed, Adecco, Select Appointments and Office Angels as retained service providers, along with overcoming stiff competition to secure the business, showed the rapid rise from unknown recruiter in the region to becoming a pre-eminent regional player.

Tony Boorman, director of Strategic Partnerships at Stafforce, said: "We beat off 15 other firms, including some of the country's biggest agencies, and this win proved that we can more than hold our own as a commercial recruiter."
The Norwich office also won a deal with Stowmarket-based Ichiban UK, a £1.4m contract to recruit 60 food production operatives a day to help the client maintain its reputation as Europe’s largest sushi producer.

Tony added: "Stafforce exists to help employers run profitable, sustainable, competitive businesses. The financial crisis, diminishing margins and heightened competition mean that recruiters must really get to know clients' operations and technologies, as employers need advice on lifting production efficiencies and cutting costs - not suppliers who effectively work against them by supplying the greatest number of people. This is why we are a good partner for Ichiban UK."
