News: Bentley Motorhomes in administration
Bentley Motorhomes, the Rotherham-based producer of high quality coachbuilt motorhomes, is heading towards liquidation unless a buyer can be found.
The firm, based on Swinton Meadows Industrial Estate, has appointed Andrew Cordon and Richard Saville of Begbies Traynor as joint administrators.
They employed 26 staff and last year had a turnover of £2.4m but has seen a significant reduction in sales.
A meeting of creditors is scheduled for August 16 to consider winding up the award-winning company.
Andrew Cordon, joint administrator at Begbies Traynor, said: "It is particularly disappointing to be called into such a well run company and one that has an excellent reputation for the quality of its products.
"The market in which the company trades is extremely competitive and the recent poor weather has done little for sales. We have received considerable interest in the business which at this early stage is encouraging."
