By

Vanmaster, the Wigan-based caravan manufacturer, has acquired Rotherham-based Bentley Motorhomes out of administration.

A producer of high quality coachbuilt motorhomes, Bentley, based on Swinton Meadows Industrial Estate, appointed Begbies Traynor as administrators last month.

Vanmaster specialise in designing and building luxury caravans with each caravan meticulously designed and constructed by experts who typically devote more than 800 hours to the build of each caravan.

Following the deal, the directors of Vanmaster are currently working with suppliers and other interested parties with the objective of recommencing production at Bentley's Rotherham factory and an announcement is expected within the next two weeks.

Lesley Thompson, director at Vanmaster, said: "This is a unique opportunity for two award winning companies involved in the manufacture of high quality caravans and motorhomes to work together to continue to innovate and deliver positive customer experiences."

She added that the management team is working extremely hard in trying to ensure that warranties relating to the current owners of Bentley Motorhomes are supported.

I've heard about Bentley and I know the quality of motorhomes that they have but to think these two companies collaborate I don’t think that there is a better motorhomes out there than they have now.
