News: Pyronix raises cash for charity with Facebook campaign

By

Rotherham-based security experts, Pyronix, is growing its presence on Facebook and supporting Macmillan Cancer Support at the same time.

The Facebook page is a key tool for any installer wanting to get up to date product information directly from Pyronix. It creates a forum where they can post feedback and comments, and have industry discussions on the latest happenings in the security market.

The Hellaby firm pledged that for every new "like" they got on their Facebook page, they would donate £1 to the national charity that provides practical, medical and financial support and strives for better cancer care.

The 32% increase in Facebook "likes" that Pyronix gained really showed how people got behind the campaign to raise funds for Macmillan. With Macmillan supporting millions of people struggling with cancer, the money raised will help towards funding nurses, therapists, doctors and helping family members deal with an illness that will affect 1 in 3 of us. Pyronix has now donated £500 to Macmillan Cancer Support following their recent facebook campaign.

Julie Kenny CBE DL, chairman and CEO of Pyronix said: "We are delighted to be supporting such a worthy charity and the work that all at Macmillan do for people suffering with cancer and their families. On behalf of Macmillan and all at Pyronix, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people that have shown their support this Christmas in getting behind the Pyronix Likes campaign."
