News: Join RiDO at MACH 2014

By

Rotherham Investment & Development (RiDO) has secured exhibition space at MACH 2014 for SME companies in South Yorkshire.

Taking place in Birmingham on April 7-11 2014, MACH is the outstanding showcase for advances in the manufacturing industry and is organised by the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), a UK based trade association dealing specifically with engineering based manufacturing. It is a biannual exhibition which brings together all the best innovations and latest developments to come from the manufacturing technologies sectors.

The space is flexible, but stands from 9 to 20 sq m are available which normally cost of £340 sq m to non-MTA members. Local companies can attend the exhibition with RiDO at a reduced cost of only £170 sq m.

In 2012, MACH attracted over 21,500 visitors and gave a platform for 480 exhibitors to demonstrate their latest technologies and innovations. There is a vibrant seminar programme which runs throughout the week highlighting key developments in the sector and offering advice on how to make the most of them.

MACH 2014 will be even better featuring over 6,000 tonnes of working machinery, themed zones, a full programme of seminars and networking opportunities.

The show is diverse; all aspects of manufacturing at all levels of the supply chain and support services are represented and specialised zones in both halls.

Graham Dewhurst, director general of the MTA, said: "For the fourth show running we are broadening the base of MACH to embrace the full range of sectors that go to make up advanced manufacturing technologies. Mach 2014 promises to be the best exhibition yet."

Andrew Klinkenberg, sector growth manager at RiDO, added: "We hope to provide some useful supply chain opportunities for companies attending and have located the space in the Main Hall 5, not far from major exhibitors including Rolls-Royce and Siemens. Also at the show are the AMRC's MANTRA vehicle and Bloodhound SSC, which should prove to be a big pull for visitors and exhibitors alike."

Through the South Yorkshire Sector Growth Enhancement Programme, RiDO will also be running a free breakfast event prior to the exhibition to introduce companies attending via the programme to each other and help with maximising their time at the exhibition. It also aims to give companies the opportunity to meet the other City Region companies attending before the day.

Also, companies signing-up via RiDO will benefit from free PR support relating to the event, including coverage in the MTA pre-event newsletter and listings on the website.

Interested companies should contact andrew.klinkenberg@rido.org.uk for further details and to register their interest.
