Mark Labbett, who has written numerous quizzes for Redtooth and hosts events up and down the country when not filming for UK, US, and Australian versions of the show, said: "I am delighted to be returning to Rotherham to launch the new quiz nights at The Courtyard. I have previously enjoyed many good nights in the bar when I lived in Rotherham so it will be great to be back and catch up with friends.

"I know that Martin and Brett [Simpson-Lyons of SLA design] have fantastic plans for The Courtyard and introducing a quiz night is a great idea. A weekly event like this brings people together and is a fun way to keep your mind sharp.

"I am very much looking forward to hosting the inaugural quiz night at The Courtyard and seeing just how clever the people of Rotherham are. If you have ever fancied pitting your wits against me then make sure you come to the event!"

Martin Green added: "We are delighted to have acquired The Courtyard and are very much looking forward to showcasing the venue's new look.

"We are completely updating the bar and it is going to look fantastic. We are really excited about this project and cannot wait for our customers to see and enjoy it.

"The quiz night is going to become a regular event as part of my day job at Redtooth means that I work with the stars of ITV’s The Chase and Eggheads and organise UK wide quiz events. We are also launching a new menu, themed nights and bank holiday events."

Tickets for the Mark Labbett quiz night are priced at £10 and are available to be purchased from Redtooth on 01246 813713, in person at Bronte’s or Best Wishes which are situated inside The Courtyard complex in Wickersley or guests can pay on the door.
