News: Home Bargains opens new store in Rotherham

By

Home Bargains is investing approximately £500,000 into a new store in Rotherham town centre, which will open its doors on Saturday March 17.

The top brand, bottom price retailer has brought up to 30 jobs to the area with its new store on College Walk, close to Rotherham Interchange.

The 10,000 sq ft unit is the former home of fashion retailer Internacionale which has moved across town to College Street.

In addition to stores in Sheffield and Doncaster, this will be the eighth Home Bargains to open in South Yorkshire.

With over 270 stores across the UK and plans to open another 50 stores in the next twelve months, the discount retailer is bucking current trends on the high street.

Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: "Home Bargains is excited to be opening our store in Rotherham and we look forward to welcoming new customers.

"College Walk will be a great location for us – we're thrilled to be in a position to offer local people even more top branded goods at exceptionally low prices!"

Home Bargains carries a wide range of top quality, high street brands – from health and beauty products to household goods, food and toys.

TJ Morris, the Merseyside company that operates Home Bargains, has grown organically over the last 30 years to become one of the biggest privately owned companies in the UK.

The business operates on one key principle: to sell branded goods at the lowest prices possible.
