News: Connexion2 provides over 900 Identicom devices to Family Mosaic

By

Rotherham-based Connexion2 has reached a milestone following continued business with Family Mosiac, a national provider of good quality, affordable homes to rent and buy.

The Dinnington firm is the developer and manufacturer of the award-winning Identicom system that is designed to look like a normal ID badge but allows lone workers to raise an alarm, make an emergency phone call or send a text message.

Family Mosaic has been a customer of Connexion2's Identicom and its best of breed protection service, SoloProtect, for over four years. Connexion2 was awarded a new contract through a robust and competitive tender process in May 2012.

Family Mosaic provides homes, housing services, care and support and sheltered schemes to around 45,000 people in 20,000 homes. The Housing Association also provides a range of support services to tenants and vulnerable adults including those with mental health problems.

Family Mosaic wanted to continue to ensure that its staff had the ability to assess risk and discreetly raise an alarm if necessary when working alone in the community.

Russ Bower, group health and safety advisor at Family Mosaic, saidd: "As a company that takes the safety of our lone working staff very seriously, we are delighted to have renewed our relationship with Connexion2. Having gone back to the market recently, we found that no other supplier can compete with SoloProtect on price, service or support."

As the housing association grew threw expansion and acquisition, Connexion2 has now provided over 900 devices to Family Mosaic.

Connexion2 has also recently secured a contract with Family Housing Association in the West Midlands to protect their lone workers.
