News: Gas Safe at Brinsworth Academy of Engineering

By

Brinsworth Academy of Engineering is launching a new range of gas safety training with a free safety briefing event for employers being held next week.

A leading engineering and manufacturing training provider, the academy hopes to see employers take on board the often over looked safety issues that involve the use of compressed gas in the engineering sector.

The morning briefing on September 12 at the Templeborough site will give employers a vital presentation in the safe use of compressed gases, Oxy-Acetylene & Oxy-Propane, and will include recent and relevant industrial case studies outlining what lessons can be learnt and will outline best practices to help attendees meet their obligations as an employer.

The event is being held in association with Proactive Gas Safety and Technical Director, David Openshaw will lead the presentation looking at the key health and safety issues when working with compressed gases, Oxy-Acetylene and Oxy-Propane. The presentation will cover important issues such as your employer responsibilities and how to effectively manage the associated risks within the workplace.

Paul Reeves, business development director for Brinsworth Academy said: "We are delighted to be able to add to our commercial portfolio of safety programmes and gas safety is something that is paramount in the sector of engineering and we really see the value that this will add to employers."
