News: Pat Man fits into Gala Tent
Jason Mace, entrepreneur and managing director of Rotherham marquee company Gala Tent has acquired the client base and assets of a business called Pat Man UK and set up an exciting new venture called Pat Man Company Ltd, which is dedicated to providing portable appliance testing for businesses.
The business will be part of Gala Tent and based at Farfield Park, Manvers. It will be headed up by managing director Chris Winterbourne, with a dedicated team of electrical engineers, with exciting plans to expand the business over the coming months.
Pat Man company will provide a cost effective PAT testing solution, which complies fully with the Electricity at Work regulations and public/employee insurance liability requirements, providing businesses with complete peace of mind.
Jason Mace, managing director of Gala Tent (pictured, right), said: "We have spotted a gap in the market for an efficient and cost effective portable appliance testing service. We were offered a deal to acquire the customer base and assets of a reputable local business that needed help and so decided to expand our operations into this area. We expect to use our local business contacts to grow the client base and to create a number of new jobs over the next six months.
"This is the latest new business to be added to the Gala Tent portfolio and we are really excited about the opportunities for this new business in the South Yorkshire area and beyond."

The deal follows the recent acquisition of a 50% stake in wide format digital printing business Sign Man, also based in Rotherham.
