News: Latest Rotherham-made MUGA opens in Middlesbrough

By

A £120,000 multi-use games area (MUGA) has been officially opened at Westgarth Primary School, Middlesbrough by 'boro defender, David Wheater. The facility was installed by Lightmain of Rotherham, one of the country's leading suppliers of youth shelters, cycle storage, street/park furniture, multi-use games area equipment (MUGA’s), skate park equipment, and play area equipment. Lightmain was asked to design a play area for a local community around ten years ago and it was from this design that the concept of a MUGA was created and which has since been adopted as a standard format for the rest of the industry. In some instances it is still referred to as "the Lightmain template".
