News: Work begins on South Yorkshire Data Centre in Rotherham

By

By securing an additional £250,000 of working capital, work can begin on creating the South Yorkshire Data Centre at Houndhill Park in Manvers, Rotherham. The project, which is joint-funded by Yorkshire Forward and Objective One and delivered by Business Link South Yorkshire will create a facility that will allow businesses to secure their data, web sites, e-commerce operations and even applications in the Centre and be supported by a specially trained team of technicians who will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The first of its kind in the region, the 20,000 sq ft of customised space will deliver standards of reliability and security to match those of major datacentres in London and Manchester.
