News: An MP on the AMP
In her contribution to the Yorkshire Post's Annual Business Review 2008, Rosie Winterton MP highlights the success of Rotherham's Advanced Manufacturing Park in transforming the region. The Minister of State for Transport and Minister for Yorkshire and the Humber said: "In South Yorkshire, the Advanced Manufacturing Park is transforming what the region offers as a manufacturing base. Its facilities include the recently opened Factory of the Future – the latest collaboration with Boeing and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. The Park is set to double in size in 2008." The forward-looking piece also discussed, training and skills, transport, tourism, city regions, local government and regional agencies, economic development and growth.
