News: Martek predict record sales

The Star reports that Martek Marine, the Rotherham-based world leaders in safety and environmental monitoring systems for the global marine industry, is predicting record sales of £10.8 million. The company, which was ranked at number 16 on the Sunday Times Fast Track table, has seen turnover rise from £110,000 in 2000, while the number of people it employs has risen from three to 60 over the same period. Marketing manager Vanessa Muff told The Star: "Sales of our environmental products have soared and we have seen massive growth in terms of turnover, staffing levels and product offering's to the industry."
