News: Rotherham student provides the Midas touch

By

The Sheffield Telegraph reports on Rotherham student Gavin Edley, who has established his own business at the same time as being in his final year of a BA Business Studies course at the Open University. Edley told the paper: "After my A-levels I was in no doubt as to what I wanted to do, I wanted to run my own business". Edley has set up his marketing company Midas Copy Ltd in Brinsworth with two graduate friends. The company specialise in copy writing, graphic design and web design. "Studying and running a company simultaneously can be rather demanding at times but getting to apply what I have learnt at the weekend from my studies to my business during the week and working alongside other entrepreneurs on their marketing campaigns is such an unbelievable experience, I wouldn't have it any other way. Studying also helps me to stay ahead of the competition and maintain awareness of how things can be done differently to improve my business," he said.
