This weekend Rotherham United Football Club kick off their new season with a home game against Lincoln City in the Coca-Cola Football League 2. They have a new stadium – Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield – and new kit. But for the second season in succession, Rotherham's Parkgate Shopping is the home kit sponsor. To wish the team well, Parkgate Shopping’s manager, Denis Copeland, and Rochelle Bailey from the Park’s owner, British Land, joined the players for the official photograph. The club's prospective new owner, Rotherham businessman Tony Stewart of ASD Lighting believes recent talks with the league and Football Foundation have secured the club's place in the Football League next season.
